Shirdi Sai Baba Mandiram, Venkat Nagar, Kakinada Town. Andhra Pradesh
Aum Sai Ram
Today we are going to see yet another Shirdi Sai Baba temple in Kakinada Town. Shirdi Sai Baba Temples in Kakinada is looking like never ending process to Count & keeps on adding as newer & newer temples for the Greatest Saint of India - Sri Shirdi Sai Baba are build each & every day.
This temple dedicated to Sri Sai Baba is built in Venkar Nagar Colony in Kakinada Town. This temple is there for a very long time but nothing much on the details of its existence could be collected.
A new Marble Statue of Sai Baba was recently installed in the temple after the replacing the Old Cement statue present in the temple during the renovation. The Old cement statue is also kept in the temple premises for devotees Darshan & looks very matured & ever Smiling.
The Marble Statue of Sai Baba is wearing a Silver Crown & Well Dressed for the Aarti. Baba could be seen in a meditative posture in the Marble Statue. This is yet another Sai Baba temple in Kakinada & we would be seeing one more in the coming week.

Holi Celebarations at Tumkur Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir, Tumkur. Karnataka.
Aum Sai Ram
Today for the first time i attended the Holi Pujan which usually taken place on the Full Moon Day, A Day before the festival of Colours is celebrated. Holika Dahan is performed in the evening after the Muhurat is fixed.
Our Tumkur Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir had organised a Holi Pujan on Saturday 19th of March 2011. After the Dhoop Aarti was performed to Sri Sai Baba the Holika Dahan was performed in front of the temple premises.
Special Puja was performed around the firewood that was prepared in the temple Premises. After Preliminary Puja, all the devotees were given flower petals & asked to put the same after performing 3 pradikshina around the firewood. In between those who would like to make a wish were asked to perform prayers during the pradikshina.
After the pradikshina was performed the fire wood was lit & Gayathri Mantra was chanted loudly and yet again 3 more rounds of pradikshina were performed around the burning fire wood to mark the holika dahan event.
Later on Colours were applied on the fore head & devotees took blessing of elderly persons gathered in the event. I was very lucky enough to get the blessing of Papaji & Mummyji along with Sri Sai Baba.
Later on the temple Purohit applied little bit of gulal colour to the Marble statue of Sai Baba on his cheeks to commence the event.
The evening followed with a Bhajan Sandhya performed by Sai Devotees present in the temple.
The Evening ended with Moon Light dinner. Sai Devotees sat in a big circle in front of Sai Mandir. Varieties of Food prepared by different Sai Devotees were served to all of them. It was more like a homely event & i felt so happy participating in this event. I was lucky enough to take my mother also to this event as my mother was with me.

3rd Anniversary Celebrations at Tumkur Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir, Tumkur. Karnataka.
Aum Sai Ram
Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir popularly referred as Euro School Sai Baba Mandir celebrated its 3rd Anniversary on Thursday, 03rd March 2011.
As we already know the Invitation for 3rd Anniversary Celebrations & First glimpse of the 3rd Anniversary Celebrations of the temple were published recently in our Sai Photo blog.
Yes it is absolutely true. This Sai Baba Mandir in Tumkur is 3 Years old. Time passes so fast that every year looks like a minute spent. It was on the temple Mandal Puja that i visited this temple for the first time. I remember this day very well as it was my birthday too.
I usually start my Birthday with a visit to a Sai Temple & this temple being opened recently for Sai Devotees was attracting way more than i could imagine. I had heard stories about the pancha Mukhi Ganapathi installed in the Temple & also that the Statue of Sai Baba made out of Pure Makrana Marble sparkling to its brim.
Even after completing 2 years & celebrating its 3rd Anniversary on 03rd March 2011, The Tumkur Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir feels as new as it was in the beginning & it is always fascinating to see the Pancha Mukha Ganapati & the sparkle that the Marble Statue of Sai Baba Brings.
In Brief it is the best preserved temple of Sai Baba that i have visited till date after completing several of my pilgrimage to Sai Baba temple at various places in India.
To See Complete set of 120 Snaps visit:
The 3rd Anniversary Celebrations started at around 5:30am with Kakad Aarti to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. The temple was completely decorated with floral garlands. A Flower shaped Floral Arrangements was set up around the statue of Sai Baba & it looked as if Baba is in between petals of the flower.
Special Milk Abhishekam, Mangal Snan, Vastra Alankar, Pushpa Alankar, Deepa Alankar & Mangal Aarti were performed by 6:30am.
At Around 9:00am Kalas Stapan & arrangements to perform Sri Maha Sudarshana Homam & Shirdi Sai Moola Mantra Homam commenced. The Sankalpan & Kalas Puja were performed by Sri Angadi Hiremath along with the purohits & temple founders.
A Silver Paduka for Baba's existing paduka in Samadhi & a Silver Crown were gifted to the temple during this occasion & they were placed along with the Kalas.
After the Kalas Stapan ritual was completed the Silver pakuka was placed aside & the Abhishekam ritual of the Silver Paduka Commenced. The Abhishekam was performed by the Sai Devotee who had gifted the same along with the temple purohit & the temple founders. After the Abhishekam was completed the Silver Paduka was decorated with Chandan & garlands & went around the temple to perform pradakshina. All the Sai Devotees were allowed to touch the Paduka & get the blessings of Sai Baba which it was taken on Pradakshina. Later on the Paduka was brought back & placed near to the Kalas.
As it was time for the Madhyan Aarti & Bhog to Sai Baba, the temple purohit completed the Aarti & the Prasad was served to Sai Devotees who were leaving the temple. Around 300 School Children were also given the Sai Baba's Prasad.
Mean while Ganapathi Homam,Nava Graha Shanti, Sri Maha Sudarshana Homam & Shirdi Sai Baba Moola Mantra Homam were being performed & the preparations for purnahuti was under way. Many varieties of Dry Fruits, Nuts & Spices, Root Extracts, Ghee & a Silk Cloth was placed in a big vessel. All the Sai devotees present in the temple were allowed to touch the plate & finally it was handed over to the temple founder who put them all into the fire. As all the items were being put into the fire, the fire god was happily glowing red. Purnahuti was successfully performed at around 2:30pm the Maha Mangal Aarti was performed & Prasad was distributed to Sai Devotees.
Then in the evening at around 6:00pm under the gracious presence of Sri Chandra Shekar Baba the evening program continued with Dhoop Aarti to Sai Baba. Sri Chandra Shekar Baba himself conducted the Dhoop Aarti. Baba's Silver Paduka was installed in the samadhi & decorated with Chandan & Garlands. After completion of Dhoop Aarti Baba was served the Bhog & Sri Chandra Shekar Baba himself took the vessel containing water & feed Baba. For a Moment i felt as if The Marble Statue of Baba was really consuming water that was fed.
After the Bhog, the Palki seva was commenced. Palki of Sai Baba along with the Newly gifted Silver Paduka of Baba was taken in the procession. The palki Utav of Baba went around the temple/school complex & after some time stopped in the ground near to the temple.
Then few bhajans were sung & the Silver Paduka of Sai Baba was placed inside the palki. After that the Palki again too of with Ladies carrying it this time back to the temple. As the Palki entered the Temple premises Aarti was performed to the Palki carrying Sai Baba & Paduka.
Now this is some thing new i'm noticing for the first time. As soon as the Aarti was performed, it was announced that who were is in problems should bow down & go under the palki & all their problems will get solved & to my amusement i was not the only one in trouble but the majority of crowd were competing to go through the palki.
I finally managed to bow down & walk below the palki even as the Sai Devotees carrying the palki them self wanted to go below it.
By 7:00 pm after the Palki Utsav & this new thing of bowing down & going below Palki got completed the Sai Bhajan Sandhya was commenced.
This time Specialist Sai Baba Bhajan Troop from Bangalore led by Sri Chandrashekar, Kannada Producer & Film Director performed the Sai Bhajan Sandhya. Lot of Sai baba Sungs were sung during the bhajan Sandhya & the program was completed by around 8:30 pm.
Shej Aarti of Sai Baba was performed at around 9:00pm & the 3rd Anniversary Celebrations were successfully completed.
Prasad was served to the Sai Devotees present in the temple after the Shej Aarti. Around 1000 odd Sai Devotees attended the celebrations & made this event a grand success.
