Sri Shirdi Sai Baba's Nakshatra Malika Puja was performed on Sunday, the 21st Aug 2011 at Sai Devotee Smt. Padma & Sri. Balakrishna's Home in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.

Mrs. Padma Karunakaram has been writing articles for Sai Photo Blog regularly & covering Sai Baba Temples in East & West Godavari Dist of Andhra Pradesh. Her articles are being published on all the wednesdays.

It was all by Sai Baba's Will & Special Invitation from Mrs. Padma, that i visited Rajahmundry for this Puja & attended the Complete event.

Around 100 Sai Devotees from Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Vizag, Eluru, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Gudivada, Hyderabad, Chennai & Bangalore attended the program. Sai Baba's Mantap was decorated with Turmeric, Mango Leaf. Sai Baba's Potrait, Statues of Sai Baba, Radhe Krishna & Durga devi were placed on the Mantap. Kalas of Durga devi was also installed on the Mantap by the Couple.

Sri M Mangaiah from Eluru Conducted this puja. Spiritual People like Sri Anusuya Amma, Sri Sankaraiah, Sri Raheem Baba from nearby places were also invited & present for this Puja.

After the morning breakfast of Idli, Chutney & Coffee/Tea, The puja began at 10:30am. All the Sai Devotees present for the puja were given a Puja Thali consisting of Photo's of Ganeshji, Sai Baba & Durgadevi. Kumkum, Turmeric, Udi, betulnut leaf, betulnut, fruit, prasad were also part of the puja Thali.

All the Sai Devotees were encouraged to perform puja to the Baba's Photo present in the Thali simultaneously when the puja at the main mantap was being held. After the Sankalpam, Puja & Ashothara shatanamavali were performed for Ganeshji & Sai Baba. Sai Baba's Madhyan Aarti was performed.

Now the 9 time Chanting of Sai Baba Nakshatra Malika commenced & it took around 10 min to complete 1 round of Chanting. For every round of Puja, Prasad Thali consisting of Fruit, Coconut, betulnut leaf & betulnut were placed in front of the Mantap & Aarti was performed at the end of each round of chanting.

At the end of 9th Round of Chanting, Naivaithyam consisting of Sweet Rice, Puliyogara, Vegetables, Dhall & Rice along with fruits were served to Sai Baba & Maha Mangala Aarti was performed to Sai Baba. The Puja ended with Satsang & Blessing to all Sai Devotees at 2:45pm & Prasad was served to all Sai Devotees present for the Puja.

A Small glimpse about this Nakshatra Malika Puja.
This Sai Nakshatra Malika was written by Sri Ponamala Koteswara Rao of Vijayawada and sung by Sri M Mangayya of Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. Sai Nakshatra Malika Poem Consists of a 27 Stanza/Verses praising Sri Sai Baba & the Complete Parayan of Sai Satcharitra book has been written in these 27 Stanza.

It is beleived that chanting Sai Nakshatra Malika once gives the Same benefit of performing Sai Satcharita Saptah. During the Sai Nakshatra Malika Puja, Sai Baba's Photo or Statue is placed on a Decorated Mantap. A Kalas is placed on Mantap. Salutations to Ganeshji, Durgadevi & Sai Baba are chanted & Sankalpam of all Devotees present for the puja is done. Ganesha Ashtothara Shatanamavali & Sai Baba's Ashtothara Shatanamavali & Aarti are performed.

Later on Sai Baba's Sai Nakshatra Malika is chanted 9 times by all Present for the Puja & During each chanting Tambulam consisting of 2 Banana/Fruit, Betelnut Leaf, Betelnut & a Coconut is placed in front of Sai Baba & at the end of each chanting Aarti is performed to Sai Baba. At the end of 9th Chanting, Sai Baba's Naivaithyam is performed. Aarti is Completed.

Sai Baba's Mantap & Alankar at Sai Devotee Mrs. Padma Ramaswamy's Home, Andheri, Mumbai.

Today we are seeing the Snaps sent by Mrs. Padma Ramaswamy from Andheri, Mumbai of the Sri Sai Baba's Alankar done at her home on the Occasion of Guru Pournima held on Friday, 15th July 2011.

The Day started with Abhishekam, Alankaram to Sri Sai Baba. Sai Ashtothara Shatanamavali was read, Naivaithyam was given to Baba. Aarti was performed at the end to mark the occasion.

Krishna Janmasthami 2011 Celebrations at Sai Baba & Hanuman Mandir, Sector 23, Ghaziabad. Uttar Pradesh

Today we are seeing the Snaps sent by Sai Devotee Sri Pavan Garg from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh of the Sri Krishna Janmasthami Celebrations held in Sai Baba & Hanuman Mandir at Sector 23, Ghaziabad on Sunday 21st Aug 2011.

Sai Baba & Hanuman Temple where the Statue of Radhe krishna has been installed was completely decorated with Flowers & Lightings. Bhajans & other Spiritual programs as well as dance & satsangs were performed through out the day. Breaking of "Dahi Handi" was also performed & Devotees attended all the programs & made this event a Grand Success.

Krishna Janmasthami 2011 Celebrations at Sai Devotee Sri Pavan Garg's Home,Ghaziabad. Uttar Pradesh.

Sri Krishna Janmasthami was celebrated at Sai Devotee Sri Pavan Garg's home at Ghaziabad on Sunday 21st Aug 2011. Sai Baba & his Mantap was decorated well with Peacock feather. A Small Statue of Krishna with Butter Pot was also kept in the Mantap. Sai Baba's & Krishna's Bhajan were Sung & Makhan(Butter) with Sugar was kept for Naivaitheya to Shirdi Sai Baba.

Today we are going to visit Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Alayam at Kalpakkam in Kancheepuram Dist. of Tamilnadu. Kalpakam is situated in the East Coast of Bay of Bengal & around 70kms from Chennai. All the buses plying towards Pondichery (pondy) cross this town which is famous for Nuclear Power Plant & Research Centre in India.

Sai Baba Temple has been constructed near to the temple of village Goddess Nagavalli Amman. The devotees from Mahathi Satsang of this area gather here on Friday's to chant Lalitha Sahastranamam & Vishnu Sahastranamam.

Smt. Anantha Lakshmi Kameswaran, Active member in this Satsang had proposed to install Sai Baba's statue in this area and she brought the idol of Sai Baba and kept it in her house for 2 years and performed all Puja, Aarthi's & ceremonies in her home.

Later on this temple for Sai Baba was constructed and Sai Baba's Prana prathistha ceremony was performed on 17th October, 2010. A Marble Statue of around 3ft height has been installed in this temple. Statue of Nandi Facing Baba has been installed in the temple premises. Sanctums for Gansha, Dattatreya, Sri Rama & Nagavalli Amman have been build around the temple premises.

All the 4 Aarthi's and Daily Puja's to Sai Baba are performed regularly. Annasantarpan/ Distribution of Prasad to Devotees are performed on every Thursdays.

On every 3rd Sunday Sri Satya Sai Bhajan is held here. Sai Devotees from Anupuram a nearby village and those employed in the Nuclear Plant perform ceremonies and functions in Traditional way.

Guru Pournima 2011 at Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, Brahmin Street, Hoskote. Bangalore Rural Dist. Karnataka.

Guru Pournima 2011 was celebrated on Friday, 15th July 2011 at Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir in Hoskote. As we received the Snaps of this temple only yesterday, i'm posting the same now. As the Clarity of the Snaps are a bit low, we are now publishing only some snaps from the event.

The Day commenced with Sheerabishekam to Sai Baba's Marble Statue at around 7am after the Kakad Aarti. A Small idol of Sai Baba was placed in front of the Samadhi & Sai Devotees were allowed to perform Sheerabishekam to this small idol of Sai Baba.

Later on the Kalas Puja was performed & Homam was commenced. Homam for Ganesha, Shiva, Durga Devi & Dattatreya were performed & Sai Baba japam was performed. By around 11am Purnahuti was performed to the Agni( Sacred Fire) & Sai Baba's Madhyan Aarti was performed.

Prasad was distributed to Sai Devotees present in the temple. By evening 3pm Baba's Rath Utsav was performed in the Main Roads of Hoskote town & the Rath reached back to temple by 6pm for the evening Dhoop Aarti.

Later Sai Bhajan were sung in the temple & they day ended with Shej Aarti to Sri Sai Baba. Prasad was distributed to Sai Devotees.

Today we are going to visit this Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir at Gandhinagar in Kakinada Town. Gandhinagar is on the way to Madhavapatnam from Kakinada. It is around 3 kms from railway station. This is also near to the famous Mallayya Agraharam area in Kakinada Town.

The Sanctum of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba has been installed at Durga Temple & it is on the Side of the Road. A Small Clay Statue of about 3ft height has been installed in this temple.

Regular Puja's are performed to Sai Baba on Thursdays & other festivals & People around this area visit Baba to take his blessings.

Raksha Bandhan Wishes to Sai Parivar.

Today we are happy to publish the Pictorial Represention of Raksha Bandhan during the Time of Sri Sai Baba at Shirdi. This is Artist's Imagination on Sai Baba Being tied Rakhi by smt. Lakshmi Bai Shindi who used to call & treat Sai Baba as her brother.

Raksha Bandhan celebration is the festival to express the immaculate love between brothers and sisters. This festival is being celebrated with fervor and joy since ancient period. Rakhi epitomizes the unconditional love between brothers and sisters. Ladies start the preparation at least a fortnight before the festival. In order to make the day special, they buy rakhis, rakhi gifts, rakhi pooja thalis, sweets, etc for making the day special. This is also an occasion for family get together where they collectively celebrate this sacred festival. Exchange of beautiful rakhi gifts among dear ones make this occasion a sweet remembrance for many years to come.
