Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandiram, Dowleswaram, Rajahmundry. Andhra Pradesh.

This is the 29th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Sunday, 18th Mar 2012 & Thursday, 22nd Mar 2012. After Knowing my Profile, I was invited formally & i was asked to visit them again on Thursday to be Part of the Puja Ceremony to perform Abhishek to Sri Sai Baba.


Mr. Pavan Kumar was given the task of taking me to some Sri Shirdi Sai Baba temples in the city outskirts on Sunday, the 18th March 2012 by my Host Mrs. Padma Karunakaram in Rajahmundry. Pavan was prompt in coming to pick me by 8:00am at the Apartment where i was staying with a Sai Devotee Family.

This was the first temple to be visited on 18th March 2012. This is a very old & 1st temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba in Rajahmundry & East Godavari Dist of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir at Dowleswaram was opened to Sai Devotees in 1942. Sri B V Narasimha Swamy of Chennai All India Sai Samaj was on a Mission to propogate the life & glory of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba & during his pilgrimage visited the then Rajahmundry town. On his way, he saw this present temple property which is very near to the Dowleswaram Barrage & felt the presence of a Spiritual Aura of Goddess Durga Devi. So with the help of some devotees he installed a Sri Chakra Maha Meru & a Statue of Sri Sai Baba.

Later on as the time passed by & as theGlory of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba grew with time, a need to built a bigger temple of worship came as the need of the hour.

In 1988 the temple was Renovated & a 6ft Black Granite Statue of Sri Sai Baba was installed on 16th Nov 1988.

Highlights of this Temple
At Present a 6ft Black Granite Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was been beautifully installed on a wonderfully designed Simhasan. A Prabhavali with the Dashavataram of Vishnu has been behind the Simhasan of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.

A 2ft tall Black Granite Sri Chakra Maha Meru along with a Small Statue of Sri Ganeshji has been installed in front of the Main Statue of Sri Sai Baba. A Pancha loha Utsav Murthy of Sri Sai Baba has also been installed in front of the main idol.

A Sanctum for Sri Dattatreya has been installed in the temple complex under the audambara tree at Sri Datta Shanti vanam.

Sai Baba's Dhuni has been installed at the entrance of the temple towards the left. A meditation Hall has been built behind the temple premises to the right & Satsang & Annadanam program are performed in this premises.

Daily Aarti, Abhishek & Archana Puja are carried out in this temple. On Every Thursday & Sunday Sheerabishekam is performed to the Main Idol of Sai Baba along with Milk, Panchamrutham, Chandan & Udi between 5:45am - 5:30 am after the Kakad Aarti.

Special Puja's and Offerings are held on Sri Rama Navami, Guru Pournima, Dussehra, Sai Punyathithi, Datta Jayanti, January 1st, Sankaranti & Shivaratri.

108 Kalas of water is drawn for River Godavari in a religious manner early in the morning accompanied by dhol & nadaswaram & Abhishek to Sai Baba is performed with the water brought from the river on Sri Rama Navami. Chandan Utsav is performed in the evening followed by Bhajan Sandhya & Satsang.

On Guru Pournima Full day special Puja & Sai Sathya Vratham is held with procession & Palki Utsav.

During Dussehra Special Alankar is performed to Sri Sai Baba. Daily Sahasranama Kumkum Archana to Sri Chakra Mahameru is performed. On Sai Punyathithi Samadhi utsav is performed.

Datta Jayanti is performed with special Datta Homam & Sai Moola Bheeja Mantra Homam.

On January 1st, Special Puja, Archana is held. Sankaranti puja is performed by giving danam to gomatha ( Holy Cow).

On Maha Shivaratri & Karthika Pournima Mahanyasaka Purvaka Rudrabishekam & Laksha Bilvarchana, Maha Jyothirlinga Archana is Performed to Sri Sai Baba.

Sri Chakra Puja is performed on all Fridays. Palki Seva is performed on aoo Special Days. Bhajans & Satsangs are performed on Thursdays, Sundays & during all Special Occasions.

Ashtothara Shatanamavali, Sahasranama Archana, Vahana Puja & Sai Sathya Vratham is performed religiously in this temple.

Nithya Annadanam is performed in the temple premises on Regular Basis.
Around 100 People are provided with Prasad Lunch Daily.
On Thursday are 500 Sai Devotees are provided with Prasad.
During Festivals & Special Days around 1000 Sai Devotees are provided the Anna Prasad.
During the Navaratri Ceremony around 5000 Sai Devotees are provided with the Anna Prasad & Anna Danam is performed through out the day.

Annual Pilgrimage to Shirdi is perfomed & around 500 Sai Devotees are taken to Shirdi during the event. Bhajans are performed at Sai Devotees home on Invitation during Special Occasions at home.

Spiritual Articles, Books, Cds, Baba's Statues & other items are kept for Sales inside the temple premises & sold at subsidised rate to benefit Sai Devotees.

Charitable Activities
Free Homeo Medical Came os performed daily during the weekdays.

Adopted a Institute "Palupa" which is taking care of the Dumb & Deaf & providing Financial Support to run the Institution.

Yearly Scholarship & Dresses to around 50 Students from Poor Financial Back ground.

This temple has been registered under charitable institute & Devotees donating funds can get Tax Exemption Receipts for the donations given. For Donations, devotees may contact the temple Manager.

Sri Shirdi Sai Natha Panchayudhana Shethram, Muramanda, Kadiyam Mandal, E G Dist, Andhra Pradesh.

This is the 28th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Sunday, 18th Mar 2012. Sri Pavan Kumar an Ardent Devotee of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba & a Engineering College Student Accompanied me for the temple visits for this day & was helpful in locating the village roads & guided me to visit this temple.


This temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba has been built at Muramunda Village in Kadiyam Mandal of East Godavari Dist. Muramunda is around 6kms from Kadiyam & 30 kms from Rajahmundry. While travelling from Rajahmundry towards Kakinada via Kadiyam, one has to take a right turn at Dwarapudi bridge at Zmedapadu & head towards Muramunda village.

This temple has been built in the middle of the Village to the right side. Sri Edasa Papa Rao the Temple President along with the Financial support of his NRI family members, planned to build a small temple for Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, but as the project was going on, due to better financial support, the budget of the temple rose to 1.5 crore rupees & a very well designed temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was finally built & inaugurated on 10th December 2012.

I was very happy to see such a very beautiful temple of Sri Sai Baba in the midst of a small village.

Highlights of this Temple
This temple is called as Sri Shirdi Sai Natha Panchayudhana Shethram as it houses almost all the Hindu Deities under one roof in this temple.

A 5.5ft Marble Statue of Sri Sai Baba was brought & installed from Jaipur. A Pancha Loha Simhasan of has been installed around the Statue of Sri Sai Baba. Pancha Loha Statues of Sri Dattatreya & Sri Rama Sita Lakshmana & Anjaneya are installed & placed on the left & right of the simhasan next to Sai Baba's Statue.

Sai Baba's Dhuni has been installed to the left at the entrance of the temple. Surya Bhagawan has been installed on top of the Dhuni indicating the Fire God. Sai Baba's paduka has been installed in front of Sai Baba's Statue.

Statue of Sri Ganeshji has been installed to the right of Sai Baba & Sri Saraswati devi to the Left of Baba.

An Air Conditioned Meditation Hall with the cement statue of Dwarakamai Sai Baba with Dattatreya has been built adjacent to the temple of Sri Sai Baba.

Potraits of Sai Baba's Life has been painted on the side walls inside the temple as well as on the compound wall of the temple complex.

A Unique Statue of Sai Baba & Sri Krishna has been installed on the roof & its mirror image can be seen in the floor below it. Ceiling has been completed painted in attractive colours.

Daily Aarti, Abhishek, Archana & Puja are done in a very grand way in this temple. Sheerabishekam to all the Dieties are performed on Thursday & all the Special Days.

Sri Rama Navami, Guru Pournima, Sri Krishna Janmasthami, Sai Punyathithi, Datta Jayanti, Sankaranti, Ratha Samthami & Ugadi are celebrated in a very grand way & the whole village gathers in the temple to participate in the events.

Palki Utsav is performed during Sri Rama Navami, Guru Pournima, Sai Punyathithi & Temple Anniversary.

Ekantha Seva & Unjal Seva is performed daily after the Shej Aarti to Sri Sai Baba & Baba's Utsav Murthy is made to sleep on the Swam like Cradle with Nagabarana.

Nithya Annadanam, Thula Baram, Namakaranam is performed in this temple.

On January 1st Vegetarian Cake is cut & distributed to all Sai Devotees after the night Bhajan Sandya on the eve of the New Year.

Temple Anniversary is celebrated on the Margashira Shuddha Panchami Thithi.

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandiram, Z medapadu, Near Dwarapudi Bridge, Mandapeta mandal, East Godavari Dist

This is the 27th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Wednesday, 21th Mar 2012.


Zmedapadu is a small village at the entrance of Dwarapudi Bridge & is around 3 kms from Dwarapudi where a very Famous Lord Ayyappa temple has been built along with the temple of Lord Shiva & Lord Venkateshwara.

Zmedapadu is around 20kms from Rajahmundry town on the Kakinada Road via Vemagiri & Kadiyam. This temple of Sai Baba is on the Left Side while going from Rajahmundry towards Dwarapadi.

This temple's Foundation stone was laid in 1995 & the Prana Prathistha Ceremony was performed on a Bishma Ekadashi on 27th January 1999.

A 5.5ft Black Granite statue of Sri Sai Baba along with the statues of Ganeshji & Durgadevi are installed in the temple sanctum. A Sanctum for Dattatreya has been installed in the temple premises. A 4ft Fibre Statue of Naga Sai has also been installed in the premises of this temple.

Sai Baba's Dhuni has been installed towards the right inside the temple premises. Daily Abhishek is performed to the Main Statue of Sai Baba. Daily Aarti, Abhishek & Puja are performed.

Special days like Sri Rama Navami, Guru Pournima, Sai Punyathithi, Navaratri, Datta Jayanti, Sankaranti & Ugadi are celebrated in a grand scale in this temple. Yearly Annadanam is performed during the Temple Anniversary.

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandiram, Kadiyam, Rajahmundry Rural. East Godavari Dist.

This is the 26th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Sunday, 18th Mar 2012.


After Visiting the Sri Sai Baba Mandir at Vemagiri, we headed to Kadiyam where a Big temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba has been built & was inaugurated on 07th March 1996. While travelling towards Dwarapudi/ Kakinada we come across Kadiyam Mandal where the temple has been built. It is in Right side when travelling from Rajahmundry towards Dwarapudi.

A 5.5ft Marble Statue of Sri Sai Baba has been installed in this temple along with the Statue of Sri Ganeshji. The Facial Pattern of the Baba's Statue is totally different & quite unique out of the 90+ Baba temples i have written articles on as of now. Baba Looks quite Matured in this temple. This temple is quite peaceful & well located near to the Godavari Canal that is flowing behind the temple premises.

Dhuni of Sai Baba has been installed towards the left side of inside the temple premises. A Huge Neem tree is present at the entrance of the temple towards the left side.

Daily 4 Aarti's, Abhishek, Puja are performed in this temple premises. During Special Special Puja's, Bhajans, Satsangs & Annadanam is performed in the temple premises.

Every Thursday Sheerabishekam to Sai Baba is performed after the kakad Aarti. Special Alankar & puja are performed through out the day & Sai Devotees from the nearby village & passer by visit this temple to get the blessings of Sai Baba.

For Rama Navami 108 Kalas Abhishekam is performed by bringing sacred water from Godavari River.

On Guru Pournima Sri Sai Satya Vratham is performed & around 500 Couples participate in the Vratham ceremony.

During Navarati, Special Alankar & Puja are performed. Samadhi Utsav is performed on the Sai Punyathithi Day.

On Datta Jayanti Anaga Vratham is performed in the temple presises. Vaishaka Special Puja during Vaishaka Masa & Nithya Annadanam is performed during Karthika Masa.

During Temple Anniversary Laksha Thulasi Archana is performed to Sri Sai Baba & Anna Santarpanam is done in the temple.

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandiram, Vemagiri, Rajahmundry Rural. East Godavari Dist.

This is the 25th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Wednesday, 21th Mar 2012.

After Successfully Completing the visit of the 1st Route of 8 temples, 2nd Route of 6 Temples, 3rd Route of 6 Temples & 4th Route of 4 Temples covering a total of 24 temples, i'll now start describing about the 5th route of temples visited on Rajahmundry to Kakinada Road via Vemagiri, kadiyam, Dwarapudi which was done on Sunday, the 18th March 2012 & Wednesday, 21th Mar 2012.


This Temple of Shirdi Sai Baba is on the Banks of Godavari Canal on the Rajahmundry to Kakinada Road at Vemagiri Village. It is 250mtrs from the National Highway connecting Vijayawada & Vishakapatnam.

while travelling from Rajahmundry on the highway towards Vijayawada, one has to take a left turn towards Kakinada Road at the Vemagiri Village & this temple is in the right side.

As of Now a Small Sanctum of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba with a 2.5ft Black Statue of Baba has been installed in the temple premises.

A Big 2 florey temple with Meditation & Dining Hall in the Ground Floor & Samadhi Mandir on the First Floor is under construction at a Cost of 1 Crore. Sri R Choudary a very influential person of Vemagiri is putting all his efforts to complete this Dream Temple. All the Funds are contributed from his Family members & temple Building work is completed as of now.

A 5.5ft Black Granite statue has been planned to be installed in the newly constructed sanctum of Sri Sai Baba Temple.

All the Daily Rituals like Aarti, Abhishek, Vastra & Pushpa Alankar & Performed regularly. Special Puja, Satsang, Bhajan & Annadanam is performed for Sri Ram Navami, Guru Pournima & Sai Punyathithi.

After the Completion of the Temple, Daily Annadanam & Special Puja, Palki Seva & others are being planned. Sai Devotees are requested to visit this temple while travelling towards Kakinada from Rajahmundry & get the blessings of Sri Sai Baba.

Sri Shirdi Sai Ram Mandiram, SVG Market, Opp. RTC Complex, Rajahmundry.

This is the 24th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Saturday, 17th Mar 2012.


This Sanctum of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba has been installed along with the Sanctums of Sri Venkateshwara at the Sri Venkateshwara General Market (SVG Market) Premises in 2002.

On 06th June 2002, the Prana prathishta Ceremony of the Idol of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was performed by Sri Ammula Sambashiva Rao of Kakinada who is known for building the tallest Statue of Sri Sai Baba at Repur in Kakinada.

A 5ft Marble Statue of Sri Sai Baba along with 1.5ft Bronze Utsav Murthy of Sai Baba, Black Stone Statues of Ganeshji & Dattatreya are installed in this temple premises. Baba's Black Stone Paduka & Sri Chakra - Maha Meru is installed in this temple Premises. Baba has been nicely placed on the Simhasan which looks very grand.

Dhuni has been built at the left hand side at the entrance of the temple & granite slabs with the carvings of 5 avatars of Dattatreya has been carved out & installed on the outer wall of the Dhuni.

Daily Aarti, Abhishek, Vastra & Pushpa Alankar, Archana & Puja are performed. During Sri Rama Navami, Guru Pournima & Sai Punyathithi Special Puja's are performed & Annadanam is performed to Devotees attending the program. Archana is performed through out the day with Akshatha.
