Sai Darbar Mandir, Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad.

Aum Sai Ram!

Today I would like to share Snaps of Sai Darbar Mandir, Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad. I am sure that we all have seen a lot of temples of Shri Sai but every temple is unique.

Those Days Baba used to appear before his devotees. For instance,

1. Sai appeared to Shama when Sushila wasn't well.

2. Sai appeared to Sai Sharanandji to give him Sanyaas.

The same way he appeared before a lady whom Sai Devotees Know & Call as 'Maami' (maternal aunt).

Maami's real name is Vasantiben Laljibhai Patel (Maami) and Mama's real name is Harjivan Laljibhai Patel (Maama).

With all sincere devotion, she has been always praying to Sai Baba by Chanting his name, doing parayan of satcharitra , singing his leelas.

One day Baba appeared to her and said that he wanted to stay there with them and help his devotees through her. And she was blessed by baba, she regularly performed his aarti and puja the way it is done in Shirdi.

They had Langar/Bhandara every month, Bhajan on every Thursdays and whenever someone came asking for some solution baba guided them through her in all the ways. Baba always answered his devotees questions through her.

Just a year back during January she sent her young son for Bhandara at Shirdi. He served everyone with his own hands and came back to Ahmedabad. All of a sudden he was restless. Soon within no time he left his earthly body and reached baba forever leaving small child and wife behind him.

That day people had come for kirtan and saw this. They were really shocked. Such a big thing was enough for anyone to move away his belief but as they say true devotees get stronger when put to tests.

She went ahead to make a big temple for Sai Baba & called it Sai Darbar and continued her seva there. This temple is Build in Shirdi - Dwarakamai Style & Baba is sitting on Stone in Dwarakamai Posture.

A small Golden Statue of baba which Maami used to have at her house is now moved to temple & Placed behind the Main Statue. Here are some snaps of the Temple.

Pigeon getting Moksha at Sai Baba's Feet. Kelambakkam Sai Temple, Chennai

Aum Sai Ram

This is the 4th set of Snaps on the Series Kelambakkam Shirdi Sai Temple, Chennai. This set of snaps shows a pigeon getting Moksha at Sai Baba's Feet.

It is told that this Pigeon was making rounds around the Sai Baba temple for quite some time. It was spotted before some days by the locals as well as members of the Sai Temple. Pigeons are rare to spot at chennai. The only birds that can be spotted around chennai are Crows, Eagles, Sparrows & Vultures.

It was rare & Sai devotees thought that it is a leela of Baba to send a Pigeon at this temple. After few days it was seen inside the temple on the chandelier. It stayed there till all the rituals were completed. Then it flew down to Baba's feet & left this world.

This Pigeon had indeed got blessings from baba that it got Moksha at the Feet of Sai Baba. Though the death of Pigeon was rather disturbing, the members of the temple decided to give a proper last ritual to the Pigeon. Pigeon was kept on a Baba's cloth & covered with Jasmine Flowers. Later on the rituals were performed & the temple was sanitised & opened back to Sai Devotees.

Shirdi Sai Baba's Wax Statue in Wax Museum Lonavala

Aum Sai Ram

Fashioned on the lines of UK’s Madame Tussauds, a Wax artist from Kerala, Sunil Kandalloor's Wax Museum at Lonavala has Life-like Wax Statues of Shirdi Sai Baba, Satya Sai Baba, Mother Teresa and other Celebrities too.

Kandalloor displayed his first Wax Statue, which was Lord Krishna’s bust for Guruvayur Temple Museum in Kerala.

The Eyes of the artefacts are made of glass and chemicals but the Eyebrows, Hair & Eyelashes are made of real human Hair, which he sources from Temples like Tirupati Balaji more often instead of beauty salons.

The exact shade of the Skin is reached at with deftly mixed tempera colours. The final touch comes from the Clothes & the Shoes, usually straight out of the subject’s personal wardrobe.

Each wax statue is made of fibre and close to 35 kgs of wax, among other things and costs close to Rs 1 lakh. The museum also has tailors hired to design the clothes for the statuette.

Kandalloor can make one Wax image in a month’s time and can disintegrate and join it back in 10 minutes.

Photography is allowed standing next to any of the wax sculptures.

Sri Sainatha Jnana Kendra, Bhattrena Halli, Vijayapura Tk, Bangalore Rural Dist.

Aum Sai Ram

As said in my previous article about my Pilgrimage to visit 4 Shirdi Sai Temples in Bangalore Rural Dist. I visited 2 temples of Shirdi Sai on Sunday, 27th June 2010 & headed towards the 3rd temple at Bhattrena Halli, Vijayapura.

The temples i visited were:

Kindly see the Complete set of 20 Snaps of this temple
before reading the Description of this Temple.

Sri Sainatha Jnana Kendra,Bhattrena Halli, Vijayapura.

This temple is situated at Battrena Halli, a small village between Vijayapura & Sidlaghatta & around 5 kms from Vijayapura. There are frequent buses from Bangalore towards vijayapura/Sidlaghatta & from there one as to take Auto ricksaw or Share auto to visit this temple.

People going on own vehicle can directly go to Bhattrena Halli via Devanahalli, Vijayapura. In between they can cover Devanahalli Sai Baba mandir at avathi as i did. Then come back towards devanahalli town & ask for vijayapura/ sidlaghatta. Vijayapura is at a distance of around 14kms from devanahalli.

Kindly visit map to see both the temples marked & also the route to Bhattrena Halli from Vijayapura.

Now regarding the history of temple, this temple was opened for Sai devotees on 14th Sep 2005. It has completed 4 years & it has become the one & only Sai Shethram for all people around these towns. Even some Muslims were keen on guiding me towards the temple.

This temple was jointly founded by 2 brothers Sri Venkatesh M & Sri Narayana Murthy M. Sri Venkatesh M being the elder is the Founder of the Temple & Sri Narayana Murthy M is the Developer of the same. It is Sri Narayana Murthy's vision which has been the working force to make this temple so beautiful.

As the Founder were born here at Bhattrena Halli, they wanted to open a place of Worship for the People of their village. As they are Stonch devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba, they wanted to build a temple of Sai Baba.

When they asked for the permission to build the temple, Sai Baba granted them the permission but asked them to buy a land that he had selected almost 35 years ago by planting 2 coconut trees there.

This land was near to the Lands of the founder & belonged to a Brahmin. when the brahmin came to know about Baba's wish to get a temple built at his Property, the Brahmin agreed to give land to be developed into a Beautiful temple. If you see the entrance of the temple, 2 coconut trees are placed next to the Entrance of the Temple Arch, Parallel to the Main Entrance of the Temple. It looks like Baba is sitting just in between the 2 coconut trees.

Both the Outer Wall & Inner Wall as well as the flooring has been covered by White Marble. This temple is looking almost like a Marble wonder with tons of Marble used to decorate the complete Structure. Ceiling is well painted with floral patterns.

Sri Muni Narayanappa K S is the Trustee member of this temple taking care of the complete temple Administration & Sri Amarnath is the Manager of the Temple.

This temple opens at 06:15am with the morning Aarti & kept open till evening 9:00pm. A group of Purohits are maintaining the temple is turns & due to this there is no break in between. Every thursdays as the Crowd is more the temple is kept open till 11:00pm.

A Huge Gopuram with a "Om" inscribed in it welcomes Sai Devotees to the temple. Two elephants made of marble & two Dwarapalakas standing at the entrance of the temple, indicates that it is a Sansthan & not just some ordinary temple. Statue of Differents Gods & Goddess are placed above the temple on the outer wall.

Inside the Temple, a Beautiful Marble Statue of Shirdi Sai Baba about 5 ft is placed. Smaller statues of Sai Baba used for Palaki Utsav & other ceremony are also well dressed & placed in front of the main Statue.

Marble statue of Ganesha, Subramanya & Ayyappa are placed along with Sai Baba inside the temple. Dwarakamai, Gurusthan, A Statue of Balamuri Ganesha & Jalakanteshwara along with Ganga matha is also placed in the temple premises.
Every Thursday there is a Special Puja, Alankaram, Palaki Utsav & temple is kept open till 11:00pm after the Shej Aarti. All the Rituals are followed as per Shirdi Sai Sansthans guidelines.

Satya Narayana Vratham is conducted on every Poornima/Full Moon day & Sankata hara Ganesha Puja is done on Chauti of every month. 100's of devotees participate in this Puja & get the Blessings of God.
Every year on 12th, 13th & 14th of September Varshi Kotsava/Anniversary of temple is conducted grandly & lot of people from bangalore & other far of places visit the temple to get the blessings of Sai Baba.

A Choultary/Marriage Hall is constructed behind the temple & is given to the poor at discounted rates to perform marriage & other rituals.

Guest rooms are provided to Sai Devotees travelling from far of places to take rest for some time.
