Tumkur Jayanagar(E) Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir Celebrated its 5th Guru Poornima on 25th July 2010. Special Abhishekam, Alankar, Palki Utsav, Aarti, Prasadam & Spiritual Speech during the Evening Satsang took Place to mark the event.
On Guru Poornima Special Homam for Ganesh, Navagraha & Dattatreya were performed. 5 Kumbam were placed at the newly build Mukha Mantap & special pooja were performed before installing the 5 kumbam's at the Mukha Mantap.
Sai Devotees were allowed to Perform Milk Abhishekam to Marble Statues of Sri Ganesh, Sri Sai Baba & Sri Dattatreya by them self. The Abhishekam took place from 7:00Am till9:00Am & Sai Devotees had a chance to perform abhishekam & also touch the feet of Sai Baba.
Later on Baba Alankara was performed after the completion of Abhishekam. After the Completion of Homam, Madhyan Aarti was performed along with Veda Parayana & Vedic Chanting.
Prasad consisting of Bisi Bele Baath(Dhall Rice), Curd Rice & Mothi Chur Ladhu were served to Sai Devotees from 1:00pm & continued till 9:00pm. As many as 8000 Sai Devotees were served the Prasadam.
There were some cultural programs in the evening followed by Palki Utsav. A Tractor was decorated with flowers & Sai Baba's photo was taken on procession. Upon returning of Palki there were some Sai Bhajans sung & followed by Spiritual Discourse. At around 9:00pm Sai Shej Aarti was performed & then remained open till 11:30pm.
