Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Kodigehalli, Bangalore.

Aum Sai Ram

This is the third temple visited by me as part of my 3rd piligrimage to Sai Temples in Bangalore on 10th October 2010.

This Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Kodigehalli, is a very old & traditionally Maintained Temple in this area. The priest follow the Tirupati Style of Puja at the Sanctum. If we closely observe the Temple inner design, we can find out that it is done as per traditional temple design. A Garba Griha where the Marble Statue of Sai Baba has been Installed. A Passage way between the Garba Griha & the corridor, where only priest & people in traditional Dress are allowed. Then the general Hall where in all Devotee can stand & pray to Sai Baba.

This Sai Baba Temple is near to Raj Murali Theatre at Kodigehalli & around 1.5 kms from the Bellary Road connecting between Hebbal & Devanahalli. When Approaching from Hebbal Fly over, one has to turn towards the left after hebbal fly over into kodigehalli road.

Baba looks quite Happy & contented here. He was smiling at all the Sai Devotees coming inside the temple. There is a Meditation Hall/ Dhyana Mandira in the first floor of the building.

Statue of Nandi along with Paduka of Shirdi Sai Baba can been seen in front of Sai Baba Statue in the main hall. Also one can see 2 Turtle Shaped Stones facing Sai Baba. As the temple is following the vaishava type of Puja, Turtle kept in front of Lord is considered to be Auspicious.

Small statue of Ganesha, Shiva & Hanuman are installed next to the kalpavrisha tree in the temple premises. There is a Dhuni placed near to the idols.

A Small shop with in the temple complex caters to the needs of Sai Devotees & sells Puja Articles, Spiritual Books, Cds & Laminated Photo Frames of Shirdi Sai Baba.

After getting satisfactory darshan of Sai Baba at this temple, the next temple to be visited was the Mahalakshmipuram Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. This temple has been recently opened to Sai Devotees. More on this temple in the coming article.
