This is my sixth Pilgrimage to Visit Sai Baba Temples. On Thursday, 26th May 2011 I was invited to participate in the 9th Guruwar Sai Vrath Puja at my friend's place in Bangalore.

I wanted to make this day memorable by atleast visiting one Sai Baba Temple on my way to my Friend's Place. Sri R Kuppu Swamy the President of Shri Shirdi Sai Cultural Centre running the Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir at Syndicate Bank colony, Bangalore had invited me to visit their temple & to write any Article on the same here at the Sai Photo Blog.

This was the time i decided to visit the temple on such an Auspicious Day of Thursday & also take blessings of Shirdi Sai Baba before visiting my friend to complete the 9th Guruwar Sai Vrath Puja.

A Very Beautiful Marble Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba of Height 3.5ft welcomes each & every Sai Devotee visiting this temple. Sai Baba is wearing a Gold Crown with a Peacock feather & is sitting on a beautifully crafted Silver Simhasan with a Prabavali. Marble Paduka of Baba has been placed in front of the Simhasan for the devotees to touch & get the blessing of Sai Baba.

The Prana Prathistha & Inauguration Ceremony of Sai Baba Temple was performed on Sunday, 20th June 2004. Sri R N Shetty, Prominent Industrialist along with Sri M. Krishnappa, M L A & Justice Sri K L Manjunath, High Court, Karnataka Participated in the opening Ceremony of the Temple.

On Every thursday Sheerabishekam is performed to the Statue of Shirdi Sai Baba & around 100 - 150 Sai Devotees register their names for Abhishekam to Sai Baba.

A Completely Air Conditioned Dhyana Mandira has been constructed in the Mezzanine Floor. A Big Potrait of Sai Baba Sitting in Dwarakamai Pose has been installed along with a Samadhi. Koti Sai Nama Japam has been written & placed inside the Samadhi & is considered as Koti Sai Nama Stupa.

Dwarakamai has been constructed on the first floor & a Potrait of Sai Baba has been placed at present. A Marble Statue of Sai Baba has been planned to be installed in the coming years.

A Kitchen with modern Facilities is housed on the first floor to prepare Prasadam to Sai Devotees visiting temple on daily Basis.

A Library consisting of Spiritual Books on Sai Baba in different languages has been installed in the temple complex.

A Book & gift Counter selling Spiritual Books, Cds, Laminated Potraits of Sai Baba & other items has been placed in the temple complex to cater to the needs of Sai Devotees.

Social Service conducted by the temple

1. The Temple Trust is running a Free Medical Check-up Service daily between 6:30pm - 7:30pm where in both Allopathic & Ayurvedic Doctors are available and are distributing free medicines to the needy.

2. Free Yoga Classes (3 Batches) are held daily in association with Patanjali Yog Peeth in the temple premises.

3. Shloka Class for Children on Saturday Evening at 5:30pm.

4. The Temple Trust is promoting Brail conversion of required Books for Visually Challenged people by patronizing a trust for Visually Challenged by name 'Gnana Jyothi Trust for the Disabled (R)' in the temple premises with the financial support from Cognizant Foundation, Chennai under the name of Sree Sai Chaithanya Braille Press.

About 7 - 10 Blind people are coming on Daily Basis & converting the text books of all classes & other educational books for other blind Students as per requirements. Some Volunteers of temple also participate in recording the books in audio format & later on the Audio is converted to Braille.

5. Temple Trust is providing Free Scholarships to 50 Students Studying under Graduate Courses every year.

6. Distribution of Books, Bags and other Stationery to the local school children through Sai Vidya Nidhi Fund. Around 300 Students have been benefited till june 2011.

7. Temple Trust is providing free coaching and guidance for needy students of Class 10th & 12th on Regular Basis. Coaching Classes are held between 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

8. Blood Donation Camps are held on Aug 15th & Jan 26th of every year.

9. The Temple Trust regularly holds Free Diabetic Camp, Dental Camps, Eye Camps & Medical Camps in the temple premises on Regular Basis.

10. Free Child Development Programmes like Painting Classes, Shloka Classes & Moral Story telling are held in the temple premises.

11. The Temple Trust is giving financial assistance to Guddanna Corporation School of Ranganathapur.

12. Biscuits & other Grocery provisions received from Sai Devotees in Surplus are being distributed to Orphanages, Govt. Schools, Physically Handicapped & Prerana Rehabilitation Centre in the nearby Areas around Magadi Road.

Future Projects

The temple trust is planning to install Dhuni in the temple premises. A Marble Statue of Sai Baba has been planned to be installed at the Dwarakamai in the First Floor. The Rajagopuram for the temple has been planned & the design has been recently approved.

Miles Stones of this Temple
Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir & Sri Shirdi Sai Cultural Centre was constructed with a determination to promote Spiritual & Cultural Activities with due sanction from the Bangalore Development Authority and was inaugurated on 20th June 2004 by renowned Industrialist and Philanthropist Sri.R.N.Shetty of RNS Motors Ltd along with Sri. M Krishnappa(MLA) & Justice K L Manjunath( High Court - Karnataka).

A Free Medical Check up Hall has been built on the Ground floor next to Sai Baba Mandir and was inaugurated on 2nd July 2006 by Member of Legislative Assembly, Government of Karnataka Sri.M.Krishnappa.

The Library and Dhyana Mandir foundation stone was laid on 2nd July 2006 by Honorable Member of Legislative Assembly, Government of Karnataka Sri.M.Krishnappa.

The Library and Dhyana Mandir in the Mezzanine Floor was inaugurated on 7th July 2009 by Honorable Member of Legislative Assembly, Government of Karnataka Shri.M.Krishnappa.

A spacious Dwarakamayi Bhavan is built on the 1st Floor of the temple premises and was inaugurated on 21st February 2010 by Shri.V.Somanna, Ex.Minister, Government of Karnataka.
