Sri Sai Baba Devalayam, Bandaru Lanka, East Godavari Dist, Andhra Pradesh

Aum Sai Ram

Today we are going to visit yet another temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba at Bandaru Lanka. Two Small temples for Sri Sai Baba has been built in this village & today we would be visiting the first temple.

Bandarulanka is a Village in (Earlier Amalapuram Taluka) now Ambajipeta Mandalam of East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. Bandarulanka is 7.5 km far from its Mandal Main Town Amalapuram & 50 km from its District Main City Kakinada.

This village is famous for cotton sarees. Highly skilled weavers sell their finished goods all over Andhra Pradesh & nearby states of Orrissa & Chattisgarh.

This Village is situated on the banks of river Godavari (here called as Gautami. Also locally called as Kausika). There is a belief that Viswamitra (Kausika) had brought the river to this area & hence in his name, it is called as Kausika.

A Small temple dedicated to Sri Sai Baba has been built in the village with the financial support of the villagers & local business community. A 4ft marble statue of Sri Sai Baba has been installed in the temple premises.

Daily Aarti & Puja are performed regularly & on special days, Special Alankar, Puja & Annadanam is performed. Satsang on the teachings of Sri Sai Baba are conducted regularly & devotees are encouraged to perform Aarti to Sai Baba in this temple.
