Sri Jai Santoshi Matha Sahitha Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Alayam, NH 5 Road, Kamakshi Nagar, Kanchara Palem, Vishakapatnam

Aum Sai Ram.

This is the Ninth Temple on which i'm writing article that I visited during my 17th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Visakhapatnam & Kakinada between 17th July 2013 till 26th July 2013.

This is the 8th temple to be visited at Visakhapatnam under the Pilgrimage Series for my Sai Photo Blog.

After visiting the Sri Sai Baba Kanaka Durga Temple, As it was getting late, i wanted to return back to home as my Brother in Law had come home from his work, but my sister insisted that we cover one more temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, just a Kilometre ahead at Kamakshi Nagar, Kanchara Palem.

Though Half hearted to go any further due to any serious repercussions at home, I finally had to obey my sisters words & headed further on the NH 5 Road towards Steel Plant.

This is the 2nd temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba at Kanchara Palem Area & was again towards the left side of the road when travelling towards Steel Plant.

This is a well maintained temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba along with the Sanctums of Jai Santoshi Matha. Santoshi Matha's Sanctum was installed on 11th Nov 1987 & Sai Baba's Cement Statue of 3ft Height was installed on 30th June 1994.

Though initially maintained by a trust, it was handed over to the Endowment Dept, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 2000. As the Cement Statue was unfit for performing the Abhishek as per the Agama Shastra/ Vedic Rituals. A New Marble Statue was installed in the Temple Sanctum on 11th November 2012.

The Previously existing cement statue of Sri Sai Baba was well preserved & repainted instead of being disposed. Both the statues now sit one behind the another & the new Marble statue of Sai Baba has been installed in front of the Old Cement Statue.

As the temple is performing puja's as per Agama Shastra's, Vedic Culture is Maintained. The 4 Aarti's as sung in Shirdi is not performed in this temple. After the Daily Morning Abhishek, Alankar, Archana, Naivaithya, Dhoop & Deepa Aarti is performed to Sri Sai Baba along with Santoshi Matha.

Sheerabishek is performed on every thursdays from 6:30 Am till 11:00 Am. Vibuthi Archana is performed in the evenings. Special Puja's to Sri Sai Baba are performed on Sri Ramanavami, Guru Poornima & Sai Baba Punyathithi.

Special Puja's to Santoshi Matha are performed on Rakhi Pournima, Shravan Friday Puja is grand manner. Kumkum Archana to Santoshi Matha is performed on every friday from Morning till evening.

Highlights of this Temple:
1. This temple has two Statues of Sri Sai Baba, one behind the Another. This temple initially built & Inaugurated on 11th November 1987 as Jai Santoshi Matha temple having the sanctum of Santoshi Matha was expanded & Sanctum of Sri Sai Baba was installed in the same Temple Premises next to the statue of Santoshi Matha.

A 3ft Cement Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was installed & Prana Prathistha Ceremony was performed to Baba on 30th June 1994.

Though initially a Trust/ Association Maintained Temple, After the death of the founder member of the temple & due to various complications in running the temple's Daily Activities, this temple was later handed over to the Endowment Dept.

From the Year 2001, This temple of Sri Jai Santoshi Matha Sahitha Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Alayam is Maintained by the Endowment Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

2. As the Cement Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was not suitable to perform the Abhishekam as per the Agama Shastra, A New 3.ft Marble Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was installed in front of the Cement Statue of Sri Sai Baba in the year 2012 on 11th November 2012.

The temple was repaired & the cement statue was painted beautifully instead of being disposed. Both the status are placed in the single temple sanctum & go hand in hand & look extremely beautiful.

3. This Temple has the Sanctums of Jai Santoshi Matha & Sai Baba along with Dhuni. Dhuni has been installed towards the Left side of the temple next to the sanctum of Sri Sai Baba.

4. Special Puja, Abhishek, Spiritual Programs, Bhajans & other rituals are conducted during Ugadi, Sri Ramanavami, Guru Poornima & Vijayadashmi - Sai Baba Punyathithi to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Sheerabishek is performed on every thursdays from 6:30 Am till 11:00 Am. Vibuthi Archana is performed in the evenings
