This is the 4th Temple visited by me on my 3rd Piligrimage to Sai Temples in Bangalore on 10th October 2010.

The Temple Complex consisting of Sri Vinayaka, Sri Kanteshwara, Sri Prasanna Parvati & Sri Subramanya Swamy was built in the year 1984.

After frequent request from Sai Devotees for a Shirdi Sai Baba Sanctum in the temple complex, the Shirdi Sai Baba temple was finally built & prana Pratistha Ceremony of Sai Baba statue took place on Thursday, 25th March 2010.

Sri Ammula Samba Shiva Rao of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh conducted the Prana Pratistha Ceremony. All the Rituals were done as per Vedic text. Sri Ammula Samba Shiva Rao is Famous in the entire Kakinada & East Godavari Dist for installing 2000+ Sai Baba Statues & attending Prana Pratistha Ceremony for all of them.

The Marble Statue of Sai Baba looks very handsome & Baba was dressed in White Robe during my visit to temple.

Special Puja's are held on Every Thursday & Sunday to Sai Baba. Rama Navami, Gurupoornima & Punja Thithi are celebrated & special Abhishekam & Alankaram is done to Sai Baba.

Other Special Puja's conducted in this temple are Satya Narayana Vratham, Sankastha Ganapathi Vratham, Pradosha Puja to Shiva, Navratri Special Alankaram to Prasanna Parvati Devi, Vaikunta Ekadashi, Karthik Masa Puja, Kartika Poornima Deepotsavam, Vinayaka Chautrathi & Shivratri. Annadanam is conducted on the next day of Shivratri.

Today we are going to see the Padagaya Sri Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple at Pithapuram, East Godavari District, Andhrapradesh. This temple is around 20 Kms from Kakinada Town.

Special Features of this Temple

1. Pithapuram is famous for Sri Sreepada Srivallabha - Dattakshetram, the first avatar of Sri Dattatreya.

2. Sai Baba's Sanctum is one of the temples in the campus of Lord Kukkuteswara Swamy. Here Siva is in the shape of Cock (kukkutam in Telugu)

3. There is a Famous story about Padagaya(Feet) -- When Krishna threw Chakra on Yaksha - Gayasura, his feet got cut and fell in this place. Sirogaya(Head) of gaya is in Uttar Pradesh and Middle part is in Madhya Pradesh.

4. We can see Dattatreya's all 5 Avatar statues in the temple.
