Sri Sai Baba Dattatreya Alayam, Opp. Veera Towers, Tadichattla palem, Visakhapatnam.

Aum Sai Ram.

This is the Eleventh Temple on which i'm writing article that I visited during my 17th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Visakhapatnam & Kakinada between 17th July 2013 till 26th July 2013.

This is the 10th temple to be visited at Visakhapatnam under the Pilgrimage Series for my Sai Photo Blog.

After returning home, though the things looked pretty normal, i didn't want to create any situation & hence i decided not to take my sister on temple visit early in the morning the next day.

As i'm new to Visakhapatnam & not so well versed with the routes & directions, i was looking for a substitute for my sister who can take me around to Sai Baba Temples in Visakhapatnam.

My Niece, the Other sister's Daughter was free the next morning as she was yet to join her professional Degree Course & was interested to take me around Sai Baba Temples in the Near by Locality where she grew up.

On Friday 19th July 2013, I started my Day # 2 of Pilgrimage to Sai Temples & visited my 10th temple at Visakhapatnam & 1st temple for the Day. I got up by 6am & got ready. After having a wonderful cup of Tea prepared by my sister, i left home to pick my niece. It was 7am when i called my other sister & came to know that my niece was yet to get ready.

Meanwhile, while travelling towards her home, i passed through Tadichattla Palem where i saw an Arch with Dattatreya Name. So to manage time, I entered the sanctum of the temple.

The Main Deity of this temple is Lord Dattatreya. To my Utter Astonishment, I could see a Small 1.5 ft Marble Statue of Sri Sai Baba along with Black Stone Statues of Lord Shiva, Ganesh & Dattatreya.

I felt so Happy that even at Dattatreya's Mandir, Baba gave me his Gracious Blessings & just taught me a lesson saying, where ever u go, I follow you sincerely.

Though Quite a Small Temple, with 2ft Black Stone Statue of Dattatreya, 1.5ft Marble Statue of Sai Baba & sanctums for Lord Shiva & Ganesh ji, the temple was maintained really well. Devotional Songs on Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was being played.

A Brass Statue of Ganesh, Dattatreya & Sai Baba is also present in the temple & used as Utsav murthy. Regular Puja, Abhishek & Archana is performed to Ganesh, Shiva, Dattatreya & Sai Baba.

Annadanam is performed during special days with the help of Sponsors from near by Apartments. As Such Sai Baba's 4 times Aarti is not performed but Sai Baba Puja is performed & Nithya Mangal Aarti is performed to the Deities.

This is the Tenth Temple on which i'm writing article that I visited during my 17th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Visakhapatnam & Kakinada between 17th July 2013 till 26th July 2013.

This is the 9th temple to be visited at Visakhapatnam under the Pilgrimage Series for my Sai Photo Blog.

After visiting the Sri Jai Santoshi Matha Sahita Sri Sai Baba Temple Sanctum, we were guided by the temple purohit to visit yet another temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba which is behind on the Road parallel to the NH 5.

That Parallel 80ft Road is called as NAD Kotha Road / Bowdra Ring Road is where the next temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was present & we headed to that temple.

Though it was too Late & my sister was getting calls from home, she was ignoring calls in order to complete the visit of this temple, so that we won't have to go back in search of the same again the next day. Though her thought of visiting the temple was right, i was literally worried about the situation that may be getting created back at home.

We quickly spoted this temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Bhajan was being performed before the Shej Aarti at the temple Premises. A 2.5ft Marble Statue of Sai Baba is installed in the temple premises.

After having the Darshan at the sanctum of Sri Sai Baba, we enquired about the details of the temple & the temple priest was of no help in providing us with the details. All he could give was general details like puja, special days etc but nothing related to the temple details etc.

But he promptly allowed us to take the snaps of the Sanctums of Sri Sai Baba. He also guided us to the Dattatreya Sanctum that is behind the sanctum of Sai Baba.

A 2ft Black stone statue of Dattatreya has been installed in the sanctum of Dattatreya. After having the Darshan at both the sanctums we took snaps of both the sanctums & rushed back to home.

Highlights of this Temple:
1. This temple is on NAD Kotha Road/ Bowdra Ring Road at Subhash Nagar. A 2.5ft Marble Statue of Sri Sai Baba has been installed in the temple sanctum. A Beautifully Designed Simhasan has been installed around the statue of Sri Sai Baba. A Pancha Loha Statue of Sri Sai Baba has been kept in front of the Main Statue of Sri Sai Baba.

2. This Temple also has the Sanctum of Dattatreya on the back of the sanctum of Sri Sai Baba. A 2 ft Black Stone Idol of Dattatreya has been installed in the Sanctum of Dattatreya.

3. Special Puja, Abhishek, Spiritual Programs, Bhajans & other rituals are conducted during Sri Ramanavami, Guru Poornima & Vijayadashmi - Sai Baba Punyathithi to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Datta Jayanthi is celebrated in a grand manner at the Dattatreya Sanctum in the temple.

4. The Temple Arch in the front roof is designed very beautifully & a cement statue of Sri Sai Baba has been installed there inside an enclosure.

I'm now sharing few Snaps of the Statue of Sri Sai Baba that has been installed in this temple Premises.

Aum Sai Ram.

This is the 8th temple to be visited at Visakhapatnam under the Pilgrimage Series for my Sai Photo Blog.

After visiting the Sri Sai Baba Kanaka Durga Temple, As it was getting late, i wanted to return back to home as my Brother in Law had come home from his work, but my sister insisted that we cover one more temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, just a Kilometre ahead at Kamakshi Nagar, Kanchara Palem.

Though Half hearted to go any further due to any serious repercussions at home, I finally had to obey my sisters words & headed further on the NH 5 Road towards Steel Plant.

This is the 2nd temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba at Kanchara Palem Area & was again towards the left side of the road when travelling towards Steel Plant.

This is a well maintained temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba along with the Sanctums of Jai Santoshi Matha. Santoshi Matha's Sanctum was installed on 11th Nov 1987 & Sai Baba's Cement Statue of 3ft Height was installed on 30th June 1994.

Though initially maintained by a trust, it was handed over to the Endowment Dept, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 2000. As the Cement Statue was unfit for performing the Abhishek as per the Agama Shastra/ Vedic Rituals. A New Marble Statue was installed in the Temple Sanctum on 11th November 2012.

The Previously existing cement statue of Sri Sai Baba was well preserved & repainted instead of being disposed. Both the statues now sit one behind the another & the new Marble statue of Sai Baba has been installed in front of the Old Cement Statue.

As the temple is performing puja's as per Agama Shastra's, Vedic Culture is Maintained. The 4 Aarti's as sung in Shirdi is not performed in this temple. After the Daily Morning Abhishek, Alankar, Archana, Naivaithya, Dhoop & Deepa Aarti is performed to Sri Sai Baba along with Santoshi Matha.

Sheerabishek is performed on every thursdays from 6:30 Am till 11:00 Am. Vibuthi Archana is performed in the evenings. Special Puja's to Sri Sai Baba are performed on Sri Ramanavami, Guru Poornima & Sai Baba Punyathithi.

Special Puja's to Santoshi Matha are performed on Rakhi Pournima, Shravan Friday Puja is grand manner. Kumkum Archana to Santoshi Matha is performed on every friday from Morning till evening.

Highlights of this Temple:
1. This temple has two Statues of Sri Sai Baba, one behind the Another. This temple initially built & Inaugurated on 11th November 1987 as Jai Santoshi Matha temple having the sanctum of Santoshi Matha was expanded & Sanctum of Sri Sai Baba was installed in the same Temple Premises next to the statue of Santoshi Matha.

A 3ft Cement Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was installed & Prana Prathistha Ceremony was performed to Baba on 30th June 1994.

Though initially a Trust/ Association Maintained Temple, After the death of the founder member of the temple & due to various complications in running the temple's Daily Activities, this temple was later handed over to the Endowment Dept.

From the Year 2001, This temple of Sri Jai Santoshi Matha Sahitha Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Alayam is Maintained by the Endowment Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

2. As the Cement Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was not suitable to perform the Abhishekam as per the Agama Shastra, A New 3.ft Marble Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was installed in front of the Cement Statue of Sri Sai Baba in the year 2012 on 11th November 2012.

The temple was repaired & the cement statue was painted beautifully instead of being disposed. Both the status are placed in the single temple sanctum & go hand in hand & look extremely beautiful.

3. This Temple has the Sanctums of Jai Santoshi Matha & Sai Baba along with Dhuni. Dhuni has been installed towards the Left side of the temple next to the sanctum of Sri Sai Baba.

4. Special Puja, Abhishek, Spiritual Programs, Bhajans & other rituals are conducted during Ugadi, Sri Ramanavami, Guru Poornima & Vijayadashmi - Sai Baba Punyathithi to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
