Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, IDPL Colony, Jeedimetla Road, Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh.

Aum Sai Ram

This is the 5th Temple visited by me during my 5th Pilgrimage to Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Hyderabad between 16th - 19th Dec 2010. I visited this temple on 18th December 2010 at around 7:00pm.

My 5th Pilgrimage started with a visit to
Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, Shahpur, Jeedimetla Road, Hyderabad
Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Sai Nagar Colony, Saidabad, Hyderabad

To see the Complete set of 21 Snaps of this temple visit:
Sai Baba Temple,IDPL Colony, Jeedimetla Road, Hyderabad

I was at Shahpur on 18th Dec 2010 for personal work & in the evening i wanted to visit a Sai Baba Temple. As i had already visited the Sai Baba Temple at Shahpur, i wanted to visit some other sai baba temple in the nearby locality this time. I enquired the Auto Driver & finally landed at this temple inside the IDPL Colony.

Auto Ricksaw Fares are very expensive owing to the fuel prices & it is always better to travel by public transport or share Autos. I was not knowing much about the locality & ended up paying more towards visiting this temple.

But i was completely in peace of mind after visiting the temple at IDPL Colony. From the Main Road this temple is not quite visible but once we enter inside the Colony Roads we could see this temple towards the left hand side.

This temple is quite old in this locality & the Temple was inaugurated & Prana Prathistha was performed on 06th May 1995. This temple was featured among Top Ten Sai Baba Temple in Hyderabad during a Poll in Zee Tv Telugu News Channel.

Though this temple is not maintained that well but still Sai Baba is pleasant & ever smiles at his Devotees. Baba is sitting on a Beautiful Silver Simhasan & a Silver Arch with Vishnu's Dasa Avatar Embossed on it is behind the Simhasan. Small Statue of Sai Baba is placed near the Main Statue & used as Utsav Murthy.

Nandhi Is sitting in front of Sai Baba at the Entrance. Anna Danam Hundi is also placed next to Nandi at the entrance of this temple. Towards the left hand side of the entrance, there is Baba's Dwarakamai & Gurusthan.

Dhuni has been ever light & all the new temples in the vicinity are approaching this temple to carry the Dhuni & start their own Dwarakamai.

A Small Marble Statue of Sai Baba is also present in Gurusthan below the Neem Tree. A Lendi Baug with a Small Pond has been created in front of the temple. There is a dedicated place to break the coconut.

Every Thursday there is Special Puja, Aarti, After Noon Annadanam & Palki utsav is conducted in the evening after the Dhoop Aarti.

In Whole this temple is really beautiful & Peaceful & Sai Baba is looking quite contented & Happy. He is ever Smiling & Blessing all his devotees.

It is Time for Such Old & Famous temples to under go Maintenance & be Preserved. Sai Devotees instead of building new temple in a very close by colony less than 1 - 2 Kms could work together to improve & maintain the already existing temple around their vicinity. This is my Humble Thought & Request to all the Sai Devotees around the World. I do not wish to hurt their Sentiments by saying this. Just Introspect yourself.

Sai Baba Mandir, Old Malakpet, Hyderabad.

Aum Sai Ram

This is the 2nd Temple visited by me during my 5th Pilgrimage to Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Hyderabad between 16th - 19th Dec 2010. I visited Sai Baba mandir at Shahpur on Thursday, 16th Dec 2010. On 17th Dec 2010, i went to visit Sai Baba Temples & the 2nd temple of my pilgrimage was this temple at Old Malakpet, Hyderabad.

My 5th Pilgrimage started with a visit to
Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, Shahpur, Jeedimetla Road, Hyderabad

I traveled all the way to Dilsukh Nagar to meet my Friend Ms. Kavitha Setty who was willing to accompany me to the temple visits for that day. She has been very helpful in planning my temple visit & she was the one who accompanied me during my 2nd pilgrimage to Shirdi Sai Baba Temples in Hyderabad on 2nd Aug 2010.

After meeting her at the bus stop we proceeded towards her home to meet her mom & also to have morning breakfast at her home. By 9:00am we started towards this temple which is in Adjacent Lane to Yashoda Hospital at Malakpet.

This temple is quite compact but very beautiful. It is inside the Lane just before Yashoda Hospital at Malakpet. One can see Smoke from Dhuni while coming inside the lane & this temple is in the Left Hand side at the end of the Lane. This temple is very Calm & peaceful.

There is a 4 ft Marble statue of Sai Baba along with a 2 ft White Metal Statue of Sai Baba Placed on a Granite Platform inside the temple premises. Baba looked well dressed & this temple is maintained very neatly. Small Statue of Ganeshji & Shiva are next to the Paduka of Sai Baba.

Dhuni of Sai Baba is placed behind the Statue of Sai Baba & only the Purohit of the temple can enter the room to perform Dhuni Puja. As this temple is maintained by a North Indian purohit, Chandan Theeka on Fore head was applied by the Purohit & Theerth Prasad was given to Sai Devotees. It was a pleasent experience all together to visit this beautiful temple.

Sai Naam Japa/ Dhun was played mildly inside the temple premises & it created a meditative mood. After having Sai's Darshan at this temple we visited Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Saidabad. More on this in my Next Article.

Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, Shahpur, Jeedimetla Road, Hyderabad.

Aum Sai Ram

To See Complete set of 25 Snaps of this temple visit:
Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, Shahpur, Jeedimetla Road, Hyderabad

This is my fifth Pilgrimage to visit Shirdi Sai Baba Temples. This time I again got the chance to visit Hyderabad & was successful in visiting some temples of Shirdi Sai Baba. This is my second visit to Hyderabad. After my successful 4th Pilgrimage to Shirdi Sai Baba temples at Bangalore on 8th & 9th Dec 2010, I had to be in Hyderabad for some personal work & i ended up staying there for 5 Days between 16th Dec 2010 to 20th Dec 2010.

Kindly check out the details of temple visited at the end of this Article to know more about the temples visited by me during all 4 pilgrimage.

Actually I had planned to visit atleast 10 or more Sai Baba Temples but it never worked out that way as i was far away from the main city & also i was not having enough time to venture out & visit Sai Baba. But I made up my mind to visit as much as possible & when ever possible.

So the First temple visited by me was the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Shahpur Nagar on Jeedimetla Road. This temple seems to be there for quite some time & Baba was looking very peaceful. As I visited this temple on a Thursday Evening, It was a bit crowded. By the time i entered the Sanctum, the temple priest was preparing for the palki utsav.

Sai Bhajans in Telugu & Hindi were going on & some devotees were even singing along with the Bhajan Troop. The Palki Utsav Started at around 7:30pm & went around the temple. This is the first temple where in i could see even the ladies lift the palki. Bhajans & Sai Nama were sung & Palki utsav was going on. Every Alternate rounds, Ladies & Gents used to change positions & carry the palki around the temple premises.

Regarding temple, Sai Baba is sitting on a Beautiful Silver Simhasan. Baba looks very contented & Peaceful. Nandi is sitting in front of Sai Baba in side temple premises. Sanctum for Ganeshji present in the temple.

Dhuni of Sai Baba is in the temple entrance. A Stone to break Coconut has be placed in the temple premises. This temple is very close to the Shahpur Nagar Market Area & This place is always crowded. Puja Articles can be purchased from shops near by to temple. Temple timings could not be exactly found out as different Devotees suggested different temple timings. But one can visit this temple between 7:00Am - 10:00Am & 6:00pm - 8:00pm on any given day. No other details could be collected from the temple as every one was busy with palki utsav & other rituals. Theerth Prasad was served to Sai Devotees at the entrance of the temple near to Dhuni.

I Should Thank Ms. Gunja Soni for accompanying me to this temple & also taking some snaps of the temple 2 days prior to our visit to this temple. All the day time snaps were taken by her prior to our visit & we just visited this temple formally on Thursday to find out more details on this temple.
