New Year 2014 was Celebrated at Tumkur Shirdi - Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir in a very Grand way.
The Temple Owners & Members associated with the temple decided to make the New Year a very Special event by Distributing 2014 Statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba to one & all Sai Baba Devotees visiting the temple on the New Year.
The Temple Premises was very grandly decorated like a Palace with Lighting & Floral Decoration was performed in the Sanctum of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. The First of its kind in the temple, A Fruit Alankar consisting of Apple, Orange, Grapes, Pine Apple was performed by assembling a false roof on top of Sai Baba's Samadhi.
On the Occasion of New Year 2014, The Day Started with Kakad Aarti to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba at around 6:00am. Sai Baba was given Sheerabishek
followed by Alankar with New Vastra & Pushpa. Morning Aarti &
Naivaidhya to Sri Sai Baba was performed in the temple. Morning Naivaithyam consisting of Sambar Rice was served to one & all Sai Devotees visiting the temple to have the Darshan of their Sadguru.
A Special Priest was invited from Shirdi to perform Puja to the Main Statue & the 2014 Statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. The temple was opened throughout the Day & Sai Baba's Madhyan Aarti was performed at 12:00 Noon.
2014 Statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba were arranged on the Samadhi Sanctum of Sri Sai Baba before the Madhyan Aarti & Aarti & Naivaithya were performed to the Main Statue as well as the 2014 statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Prasad Consisting of Sambar Rice & Curd rice were served to Sai Devotees visiting the temple for the Noon Aarti.
Again in the Evening by 4:00pm, Sai Baba's Dress was again Changed & Puja for 2014 Statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was performed. Early Dhoop aarti was performed by 5:00pm to the Main Statue & the 2014 Statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
After the Completion of Dhoop Aarti by 5:30pm, the Distrubution of the 2014 Statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was commenced.
After the Aarti Ended, Spiritual Bhajan Sandhya was performed in the temple premises & continued late till 8:45pm. Prasad was Distributed to people visiting the temple by then.
At around 9:00pm, Sai Baba's Shej Aarti was performed & the New Year 2014 celebrations came to an end with the completion of Shej Aarti by 9:30pm.
As the Crowd was huge to collect the statue of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, it was a rather tough time to control the crowd in the temple premises. Around 5000 devotees visited the temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba & got the blessings of Sai Baba. All the 2014 Statues of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba was successfully distributed with in 2 hrs of its commencement by 6:00pm.
As the Crowd gathered kept on swelling, it was tough time to serve the prasad. Two to three rounds of meals were cooked to feed the crowd of devotees & the temple got closed by 10:30pm after completion of the event.
