On the 31st of December 2011, Special New Year Eve Retreat was organised at Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Jayanagar(E), Tumkur in a spiritual way.

Bhajan sandhya commenced by around 10:00 pm & the temple bhajan troop was very actively performing in the event. Sri Sai Baba was dressed in Creme attire & wearing a Crown with Stone work to Mark the event. During the Bhajans, Sai Baba's Sanctum was closed with curtains & special Alankar & Diya were getting arranged.

At exactly 12:00am on 01st Jan 2012, all the lights of the temple was stitched off. The curtain was opened & Sai Devotees were lucky enough to get the first glimpse of Sai Baba with the Diya's Lit around him. Sai Baba was glittering like gold in the oil lamps lit around him. After a 5 min meditation in complete darkness all the lights were switched on Again. By that time some Crackers were burnt in the temple premises by the Devotees of the temple.

Shej Aarti was performed to end the Ceremony at around 12:15am. A 10 Kg cake was cut to mark the event & Distributed among all Sai Devotees present for the New Year Celebration. I was very happy to participate in this event & start the New Year in a very Spiritual way.
