Today onwards we are happy to publish articles on Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Rajahmundry in East Godavari Dist of Andhra Pradesh on every wednesday.
Mrs. Padma Karunakaram who got shifted to Rajahmundry before some time & was previously writing articles on Sai Baba temple in & around Kakinada Town & East Godavari Dist has now started visiting Sai Baba temples in Rajahmundry town & will be writing articles on the same in the coming future.
This is the 1st temple of Sai Baba visited by her in this New Year 2012. Sri Ganesh Sai Mandir at Rajendra Nagar in Rajahmundry town was inaugurated on 29th June 2002. A 4ft Marble Statue of Sai Baba along with Marble Statues of Ganeshji & Dattatreya has been installed in the temple premises.
Pancha Loha Utsav Murthy of Sai Baba along with Sri Chakram has been installed in the temple premises.
History of the temple.
This temple being built in a residential layout now, there used to be a big anthill in that place before the construction of the temple. Devotees used to worship the anthill occasionally on Naga Panchami & Shasti.Gradually as the residential layout grew & become busy the anthill was removed and a Sai Baba's Temple was constructed above it.
Highlights of this Temple.
Special Puja & Aarti is performed on thursday's & Special Days. Palki Seva & Bhajans are conducted on thursdays & special Days.
Kumkumarcha Puja to Sri Chakram is performed on every Friday's.
Sri Rama Navami, Guru Pournima, Temple Anniversary & Sai Punyathithi are performed in a very grand way in this temple.
On Temple Anniversary on 29th June of Year, Laksha (1 Lakh) Tulasi Patra Puja to Sai Baba and Sri Chakram are Performed by the Ladies.
A Horse is brought and decorated as Shyama Karna & Palki Seva is performed around the temple.
Nitya/Daily Annadanam is performed to 30 Poor & Needy People.
On Special Days Annadanam is performed to all those Sai Devotees visiting this temple.
