Sri Shirdi Sai Dhanvantari Dhyana Mandira, 9th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore.

Aum Sai Ram

This is the Fifth Spiritual Centre visited by me during my 4th Pilgrimage to Sai Temples at Bangalore on 08th & 09th Dec 2010. On Thursday 09th Dec 2010, after visiting the Sai Baba Temple at Cambridge layout, Ulsoor i proceeded towards Sri Shirdi Sai Dhanvantari Dhyana Mandira at Jaya Nagar 9th Block near to the Very Famous Hanuman Temple at Ragi Gudda.

My 4th Pilgrimage Started with a visit to

I was in Jaya Nagar for some work & in mean time, i was very eager to visit atleast one Sai Baba temple in the After noon for the Aarti. After my Work got completed at 3rd Block Jayanagar, I proceeded towards Sai Mandir next to GNR Kalyana mantap at 9th Block. But due to the severe traffic & various Infracture development taking place at Jayanagar, I missed the road & ended up towards the Famous Hamuman Temple at Ragi gudda.

I enquired about the routes to go back but it was totally confusing. Then i remembered about Sai Dhyan Mandira which was on my list & as per the Address, it said that it was near to Ragi Gudda Hanuman Temple. So I entered a Shop near to the temple & asked the Shop Keeper for the Address. He was not sure about the Address.

Then some boys who were standing next to me in the shop came forward & asked me to show the Address. They were
able to identify the building very quickly as it houses Cafe Coffee Day Outlet. I think the Boys were regular customers of the Outlet. One of them came along with me in his bike to show me the place too. I was very happy to see his quick response & thanked him for his gesture. He said to me that he visited the Coffee Day Outlet quite often but never ever saw the Dhyan Mandir.

I walked towards the building & to my surprise the Dhyan Mandir was at the 3rd Floor with out any lift facility. I had to walk all through the 3 floors to enter the Dhyan Mandir. First it looked a bit tiring to me, but once upon entering the Sanctum of Sai Baba it was all Joy, Happiness & Peacefulness.

There was a couple who were about to leave the place after their darshan of Sai Baba. Once after the couple left the place, there were only 3 of us. I took some rest for a minute or So & then touched the feet of the Small Sai Baba Idol kept in the Hall. I prayed for a Minute. I walked around the Hall where Photo Frames of 52 eminent Sai Devotees were placed. After having an Initial Glance at the photo frames, I was able to identify few of them & was happy that i too was able to identify some of the Important Sai Devotees.

I spoke to the Incharge of the Dhyan Mandir & came to know that the Owner of this Dhyan Mandir Sri R Sathish was the 3rd person sitting in that Hall. I wished him from a Distance. Then I took Sai Satcharita & Randomly read a chapter. I felt peace of Mind & Baba told me in that chapter that never worry for the out come. Just work for the Cause & you will surely get the Results. I was really happy reading this chapter.

After taking the Thirth Prasad, I went near to Sri R Sathish & spoke to him to know more about the Dhyan Mandir. Sri Shirdi Sai Dhanvantari Dhyana Mandira was opened to Sai Devotees on 18th March 2010. Ganapathi & Dattatreya Homa were performed & after the rituals were completed the Dhyana Mandira was Inaugrated for the Sai Devotees.

Sri R Sathish belongs to Telugu Speaking family but was born & brought up at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. In 1979, his family got shifted to Bangalore & and a house was constructed at the present property. Sri Sathish worked as an Hardware Engineer & Hardware Supplier for 24 years before quitting his business & starting this Dhyan Mandira.

With the Property price raising & a need for Commercial complex in the locality, Sathish planned to Construct a Commercial complex with 3 floors & a Cellar after demolishing the old house which was present in this property. Bhoomi Poojan for the was performed on 22nd June 2007.

The Complex took shape very well & tenents started to occupy the building. But Sri Sathish always has some thing special in his mind towards Sai & kept the top most floor empty. After visiting Shirdi numerous times & after getting some inspiration from Family members & especially his maternal uncle, he finally decided to make
the top most floor as Dhyan Mandir for shirdi Sai Devotees. This way on 18th March 2010 the Dhyan Mandir was opened to Sai Devotees.

Dhyan Mandir Highlights

1. Bhoomi pooja was performed on 22nd June 2007.
2. Saibaba Dhyana Mandir was inagurated on 18th March 2010 by H.H.Sri Sri Vidya Narayana Tirtha Swamiji.

4. A Life size photograph of Saibaba sitting on Shila (Stone) is present.

7. Children's Sai Satcharita is also available for reading.
8. Sai Satcharita in English for Blind is also made available recently.
9. Stands and Asanas are available for reading.
10. Different Languages of Quaran such as English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu are available for reading.

12. Saibaba's 11 sayings in Kannda, English and Hindi are on display on the 3 pillars representing the 3 holy steps of Dwarakamai is present inside Dhyan Mandir.

I personally felt that 3 floors of the building to enter Sai Dhyan Mandir is like the 3 Holy Steps of Dwarakamai. All the Pain you take to enter the Dhyan Mandir/Dwarakamai gives you fruitful results. This place is totally calm & peaceful even though it is near to major traffic signal.

Sri R Sathish also runs a Restaurant at Shirdi & the address of the same is given below. Sai Devotees can surely visit the Dhyan Mandir as well as Restaurant & get the blessing of Sai Baba in the form of reading material & Food at the respective places.

Sri Shirdi Ke Saibaba Mandir, Cambridge Layout, Ulsoor, Bangalore

Aum Sai Ram

This is the Fourth temple visited by me during my 4th Pilgrimage to Sai Temples at Bangalore on 08th & 09th Dec 2010. On 09th Dec 2010, Thursday, I started early from my cousin's home at K R Puram to visit this temple at Cambridge layout.

My 4th Pilgrimage Started with a visit to

Thursday being a Sacred Day for Sai Devotees, I felt as if i'm at Shirdi due to the Crowd Gathered in & Around the Sai Temple at Cambridge Layout Sai Mandir. Every where i went, i could see a large gathering of Sai Devotees, Whether it is the Chappal Stand or to Purchase Roses for Sai or whether it is a Queue to Touch the Guru Paduka or at the Prasadam. I had never seen such a Crowd Gathering in any of the other temples during my previous 3 Piligrimage visits to Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Various Places.

Samadhi Mandir of Baba is in First Floor & Dhyan Mandir is in the Ground floor/Cellar. There is a Office Room in the Ground Floor where in Donactions for differents Sai Seva's are accepted. Sai Devotees interested in getting Abhishekam Done have to book for the Abhishekam Seva 2 days in Advance due to the limited Seva Tickets available for any given Day.

Statue of Shirdi Sai Baba is totally unique & different here. Baba looks very passionate & caring & ever smiling in this temple.

Special Abhishekam, Aarti, Puja & Prasad Vitaran are done on all Thursdays & Sundays. Special Celebrations are also done on Important festivals like Rama Navami, Guru Poornima, Punya Thithi, New Year & Ugadi.

There is a 3 Floorey Building opposite to the temple maintained by this sansthan & Sai Seva like feeding poor & other health care services are taken care from there. A Free Hospital is also set up to treat the needy.

There is also an Auditorium in this building where in Bhajans & Satsangs take place during important days.

A Dedicated Chappal counter has been installed towards the right side of the temple to benifit Sai Devotees. Flower Stall selling Roses & Jasmine are put up on Thursdays. Stalls Selling Calenders, Spiritual Material, Cd's, Statues of Sai Baba & other Gift Articles are set up on all Thursdays & Special Days to Cater to the needs of Sai Devotees.

It is to be noted that lot of Army personal & family members visit this temple as this templeis near to the Army Hospital & Quarters.

Devotees visiting this temple kindly make sure that you find the right spot to park your vechicle as finding a parking space is a kind of difficult task. Also note that this road is an One Way.

In total it was a unique experience visiting this temple & i was able to find peace of mind. After visiting the Samadhi Mandir, i came to the ground floor where a line was already formed which took me to the Dhyan Mandir. A Paduka of Sai Baba is installed here & Sai Devotees can pray by sitting in the Dhyan Mandir. Later on the same queue continued towards the prasad section where in steaming hot Kichadi was served to Sai Devotees.

Aum Sai Ram

This is the Third temple visited by me during my 4th Pilgrimage to Sai Temples at Bangalore on Wednesday, 08th Dec 2010.

After visiting the above two temples, As i was held up with personal work for the rest of the day, i could not visit any more temple in the surrounding area in the after noon. I was busy with work & finally ended up visiting my cousin sister's place by 3:00pm. It was not the regular stop i usually take to relax but i really don't know what made me to call her & find out about her status. She was at home & was on leave for some time due to some health problems with in the family. I reached home near K R Puram, Had lunch & took a small nap.

Later on i got up by 5:00pm to start the visit again but i was asked to accompany her to some near by hospital where my aunt has been admitted for some operation. So i had no choice but to accompany her & it is always said, Doing some such timely help is more important than visiting temples. I started with her & we went to the hospital. After the formalities & visiting my aunt, we started back from the hospital.

I was half hearted as i had covered only 2 temples the entire day. I was cursing my self for not getting up in time early in the morning & because of that i am not able to make much of a progress in visiting Sai Baba Temples as planned. Any Ways Baba being Omni Potent, heard my rumblings & answered aptly. I casually spoke to her & enquired about Sai Temples in her Locality. She was interested & was speaking to me regarding various temples & finally i asked if she knows about this temple near K R Puram Railway Station at Dooravani Nagar. Stars were smiling at me & she told me that this is the regular temple she visits & that this temple is less than 3 kms from her home. I got a kind of rejuvenation hearing to this & asked her to take me to the temple.

It was already 8:00pm when we finally reached this temple & the temple authorities were about to close the temple for the day. I requested the Temple Purohit & Temple Manager regarding briefing me some details on this temple & after getting convienced the Manager of the temple Sri P Venkata Ramana Reddy was very kind enough to let me know about all the things about the temple. P V Sir was very interested in hearing to the various temples visited by me & was expressing his eagerness in accompanying me in one such Piligrimage. I hope to take him on one such journey in the near future.

Bhoomi poojan for this temple was performed on 18th Nav 2002. Sai Baba temple was inaugurated on 22nd Nov 2009 by Sri Ammula Sambashiva Rao, Kakinada, A P.

The temple was built with support from public by Sri Shirdi Saibaba Seva Samithi(R). Dattatreya Idol is present in front of the Baba temple. A Nandi Idol is present outside the Saibaba Mandir as in Shirdi.

Dhuni is situated on the Left side at the Entrance of the Sai Baba Mandir. The Sacred fire was brought from Sai Baba Temple, BTM Layout, Bangalore. BTM Layout Sai Baba Temple is very famous in this Locality & also considered as oldest temple.

Nanda deep is situated in the meditation hall situated in the ground floor of the Sai Baba Mandir.
At the back side of the temple an Ant hill (Nagara Hutta) is present. That is why the temple is Named as Naga Sai Mandira.

The Marble Statue of Sai Baba is really very beautiful & Baba was wearing a Beautiful White Silk Dress. The Samadhi was covered with Woolen Shawl. The Black Granite Wall behind the Statue is Very reflective.

Abhishekam is performed only on Thursdays from 7 am to 8 am on payment of Rs. 251/- The devotees need not bring any pooja materials.

Shirdi Sai Ashram Trust, Arakere, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

Aum Sai Ram

As said earlier in my previous article, I successfully completed my 4th Pilgrimage to Sai Temples on 08th Dec 2010.

My Day Started with a visit to

Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

This is the second temple visited today. It is a very small temple on the road side, next to Honey Well Software on Bannerghatta Road. It is less than 5 minutes walk from Arakere Gate Bus Stop. The temple houses sanctums for Ganapathi, Kashi Vishwanata Swamy, Vishalakshi, Hanuman & Shirdi Sai Baba's statue has been installed before some time now behind the ganesh's Sanctum.

Though the temple is Small, Baba is looking really good in the temple. On the Platform, Sai Baba's Statue is installed along with Shiva Lingam. The Complete temple is peaceful. Regarding the Timings i'm not sure of the timing as the temple was closed well before the closing time of 12:30pm. I was lucky enough to take the snaps of the Idol & post it here after getting the temple opened. Sai Devotees visiting near by area can have a try & if lucky can get a darshan of Shirdi Sai here. The Marble Idol is of around 3 ft & Baba looks quite unique & ever Smiling as Usual.

Shirdi Saibaba Temple, Shantiniketan Layout, Arakere, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

Aum Sai Ram

Kindly see the Complete set of 32 Snaps of this temple
before reading the Description of this Temple.

Shirdi Saibaba Temple, Shantiniketan Layout, Bangalore.

This is my fourth Pilgrimage to visit Shirdi Sai Baba Temples. After my successful visits at Bangalore on 27th June 2010, Hyderabad on 3rd August 2010 & again at Bangalore on 10th October 2010, I am Blessed again by Shirdi Sai Baba to visit some more temples of his at Bangalore.

I have been visiting various temples of Shirdi Sai for some time now and successfully completed 3 pilgrimage to some Sai Temples in Bangalore & Hyderabad. Kindly check out the details of temple visited at the end of this Article to know more about the temples visited.

I was busy the whole of november & i was not having peace of mind to concentrate or plan for temple piligrimage. On 8th Decemeber 2010 i had to complete some personal work & after lot of planning I finally decided to go on my 4th Pilgrimage to visit some temples in Bangalore.

After initial planning & by Baba's blessings, I came out with some temples at Bannerghatta Road, BTM Layout, Jaya Nagar in Bangalore City Limits. Though there are lot of temples in & around this area, but due to time constraint i was able to cover only 6 temples on 8th & 9th December 2010.

My Day started 2 hours late in the morning by 9:30am & i had to travel almost 90 kms to visit my first temple in Bangalore. I took the NICE Toll road from Tumkur road to Bannerghatta road to visit my first temple at Shanthiniketan Layout, Arekere, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

On the way to the Sai temple, i visited the Meenakshi Temple a very famous temple for goddess Meenakshi & Lod Sundareshwarar in this locality.

The first temple to be visited today was Shirdi Saibaba Temple and Sai Dhyan Mandir at Shanthiniketan Layout near Arekere. This temple is around 20 kms from Bangalore city & 2 kms from Arakere Gate Bus Stop. It is on the Bannerghatta Road beside Agri Gold Fortune Flats. Another easiest Landmark to remember will be DLF West End Heights Apartment Complex which is around 2 kms from the Sai Baba Temple. There is a Sign Board on the Bannerghatta Road after Magnolia Maaruthi Public School, towards the left indicating the temple Direction.

Gopuram of the temple is visible from some distance & it is pyramidal in shape. By the time i reached the temple, it was 11am. The Morning Rituals were completed & Baba was getting ready for the Noon Aarti.

The temple complex consists of 2 floors. The ground floor is used as Dhyan Mandir & Baba's Marble Statue is installed in the First Floor. There a Small Sanctum for Lord Ganesha & Goddess Lakshmi & Sarawati in front of the Dhyan Mandir Entrance. On Reaching the first floor by stairs a beautiful Hall with Statue of Shirdi Sai Baba Welcomes all the Sai Devotees inside. The Temple's Unique Pyramidal Dome can been seen from inside the temple & a Huge Golden Chandelier has been placed in the Centre of the Gopuram.

The Marble statue of Sai Baba is really beautiful & has been placed on a Marble Platform. Sai Baba's Paduka are placed in front of Sai Baba Statue. 2 Pancha Loha Statue's of Shirdi Sai Baba are placed next to the main Statue & Sai Devotees are allowed to personally Do the Abhishekam to these Statue's with Water between 9:00 Am - 9:30Am. This Seva has to be booked one Day in Advance for the Temple Authorities to prepare for the Puja.

Sai Baba Was wearing a Beautiful Green Colour dress with a Pink Head Gear on the Day of My visit.

A Temple for Shiva has been built next to the temple of Shirdi Sai Baba & Bhoomi Poojan for building temple for Santhoshi Mata has been completed. Construction work for the same will start by early 2011.

Prana Pratista of all the Deities were performed on Wednesday, 03 Feb 2010. The first pooja was held on Thursday 04 Feb 2010 & the temple was open to Sai Devotees there after.

Special Abhishekam, Alankaram, Aarthi & Puja are performed Daily to Sai Baba & Shiva. I could not visit the Dhyan Mandira as the work is in progress & it is used as Store room for the coming project inside the temple premises.

The Dhuni is also placed in the first floor towards the left hand side of the temple entrance & the Design is totally unique & mind blowing. It is in a Shape of Minaret & Small Fire wood has been put inside for burning & to prepare Udi of Sai Baba.

There is a lot of place around the temple complex with lots of benches & it reminded me of some park rather than a Temple. People can Sit in complete peace & enjoy the greenery all around the temple complex.

There is a frequent bus service to & from Bangalore city towards Bannerghatta. Even Volvo Bus Services are in Huge Nos & it would be comfortable to use public transport to visit this temple. After visiting this temple, the next temple visited by me was near to Honey Well Software on Arakere Road. More on this in my next article.
