Sai Baba's Punyathithi was celebrated at Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandira, Amarjyothi Layout off Kunigal Road in Tumkur on Wednesday, 24th Oct 2012. On all the 9 days of Navaratri, Special Puja to Sai Baba & Durga Devi were performed in the Temple. Devi Saptha Shathi Parayan was performed daily in the temple Premises.
On Sai Punyathithi / Vijaya Dasami Day Special Sheerabishek, Vastra Alankar & Pushpa Alankar was performed to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Special Flower Arrangement to resemble a Shawl on the Samadhi was performed on the Sanctum. Kalas & Deepa Puja were Performed on the final Day of the Navaratri Utsav.
In the Evening Sai Baba's Rath Utsav was performed with the Utsav Murthy of Sai Baba installed on a Well Decorated Tractor going rounds in the Amarjyothi Layout & also participating in the High School Field Utsav where in Utsav Murthy from Different Temples of Tumkur were brought is specially decorated raths/ tractors & displayed to the People of Tumkur at one Place. After the Rath Utsav, the idol of Baba was brought back to the temple by 6:30pm for the evening Dhoop Aarti.
After the Completion of Dhoop Aarti, Prasad consisting of Fruit Juice, Sheera & Poha were distributed to all Devotees gathered to the event.
Baba was well dressed for the day & the flower decoration at the sanctum was the main attraction of this event. I'm sharing a glimpse of the Baba's Decoration for the Sai Punyathithi Day 2012.
