New Year 2013 Celebrations at Tumkur Shirdi - Sri Sai Baba Dwarka Mandir, Euro School Road, Sharda Devi Nagar, Tumkur. Karnataka.

New Year 2013 was Celebrated at Tumkur Shirdi - Sri Sai Baba Dwaraka Mandir in a very simple way.

On the Occasion of New Year 2013, Sai Baba was given Sheerabishek followed by Alankar with New Vastra & Pushpa. Morning Aarti & Naivaidhya to Sri Sai Baba was performed in the temple. Sheera was given as Prasad to Sai Devotees visiting the temple.

The temple was opened till noon & Sai Baba's Madhyan Aarti was performed at 12:00 Noon. Prasad Consisting of Tamrind Rice & Curd rice were served to Sai Devotees visiting the temple of the Noon Aarti.

Later on the Whole temple was Decorated with 2013 Candles. During Evening Fresh Alankar to Sri Sai Baba was performed. Palki was decorated & the Palki Utsav commenced at around 5:00pm in the presence of Sri Guru Charan Baba. Palki of Sri Sai Baba visited a nearby Hanuman Mandir at a Distance of around 500mtrs. After the Darshan & aarti at Hanuman Mandir, the Palki of Sri Sai Baba was brought back to the temple premises.

Aarti to Baba's Palki was performed & Sai Devotees were asked to bow down & go through the belly of the Palki & it is a common belief that Baba takes on the pains of those who cross through the bottom of the Palki. After the Palki Utsav the 2013 Candles the main Attraction of this event were lighted. Every Sai Devotee was given a chance to light upto 10 Candles.

After the Candles were lit, Sai Baba's Dhoop Aarti Commenced by 6:30pm. After the Aarti Ended. Spiritual Discourse by Sri Guru Charan Baba & some spiritual Dance program was performed. Prasad was given to people visiting the temple by then.

At around 8:45pm, Sai Baba's Shej Aarti was performed & the New Year 2013 celebrations came to an end with the completion of Shej Aarti by 9:30pm.
